CNN stops displaying Covid counter. Why?

So I flipped over to CNN, and after a few minutes noticed they arent displaying the COVID infection/death counter any more. Interesting. Its been up every time Ive tuned in over the last 10 months.

Wonder what the reasoning is?

Blackangst1 did not like the replies in his thread so he deleted the content and title. I have restored the content and reconstructed a title. I don't remember what the title was, so this is the best I can do. Since it seems that only blackangst1 and Tucker Carlson believed this to be true I am locking it.

Nah, they took down the counter yesterday from their broadcast. Where did I indicate it was a conspiracy? Or are you projecting?
 
It's fair point to point out.

Omission is one of the ways news media control the narrative.

Now that it's political purpose is done, the ticker is also done since there is no need for the public to know if the "good guys" are doing substantially better than their predecessor.

Now, this might be just a one time thing. If for a prolonged period the ticker is gone, then it is clear the news no longer wants the numbers to trigger the public anymore. .

Last year the administration tried to diminish the severity of COVID-19 and CNN posted up daily figures to counteract it.
Now the administration is taking it seriously and communicating to all to take it seriously.
There is less pressure on news organizations to remind people daily that COVID is killing Americans because now leadership is reinforcing the point.

It's never been on continuously.

MSNBC is certainly featuring it prominently still. They even pointed out that we set a new death record on Inauguration Day. Thanks Joe.
 
Well.... Trump was doing NADA about the covid so we needed to see how that was destroying the country where as Joe Biden is on top of the situation and thus we can get the real-time true stats and true facts directly from the Biden administration and from the Biden covid task force. We now have access to the facts and so we don't need CNN to do the job that Trump administration should have been doing... but were not.

You know what? Yoiu guys are complete assholes. Youre as closed=minded and judgmental as Trump supporters. I never even mentioned any nefarious or conspiracy-like ideas, and yet fake quotes have been made and projections of what I might be thinking. I was simply trying to get your thoughts on something. As a patient of psychotherapy and a student of my psychologists psychological theories I learned to question the idea that curiosity of the kind you describe actually exists. I see in your curiosity a motivated component based of feelings you are unaware you have. Namely those would be suspicion and paranoia that something is out to get you. What that thing out to get you really is is self hate, the hidden enemy within.

Furthermore, as it was explained to me, everything you fear has already happened. We lost ourselves as children and now live in the projection that something valuable will be taken again, namely, this time, our substitute sacred cows we worship in lieu of having real self respect.

Part of why you post the things you do is because you want to challenge others to put you down so you can acquire ego gratification from denial of any guilt. This is pointless because there was never anything wrong with you except you had, under penalty of psychic death, to believe there was.
