CNN said:The growing Hispanic population in the United States has reached a new milestone, topping 50 million, or 16.3% of the nation, officially solidifying its position as the country's second-largest group, U.S. Census Bureau officials said Thursday.
"Overall, we've learned that our nation's population has become more racially and ethnically diverse over the past 10 years," Nicholas A. Jones, chief of the bureau's racial statistics branch, told reporters.
Several trends emerged from the 2010 census, according to Robert M. Groves, director of the census bureau, and Marc J. Perry, chief of the population distribution branch.
The most significant trend, however, appeared to be the nation's new count of 50.5 million Latinos, whose massive expansion accounted for more than half of the nation's overall growth of 27.3 million people, to a new overall U.S. population of 308.7 million, officials said.
The Hispanic population grew 43% since 2000, officials said.
In stark contrast, all other populations together grew by only about 5%, officials said. The nation as a whole expanded by 9.7%.

It's no small wonder that many companies are screaming for Bilinguals everywhere you turn.... Furthermore, in Kansas City I can tell you first hand in the last 5 years the population has multiplied many times over! It's amazing how fast the changes came, and to consider that the census doesn't include the illegals, now that is scary!
Having grown in up in Kansas City I'm shocked how we quickly changed from a predominate white and black town to a town overgrown with migrating Hispanics. In some parts of the city their control is 70 to 90 % of the real estate. It's amazing over the last 10 years how those changes quickly came too, for though one may think 5 years may not make a difference, every 5 years it appears they are doubling or multiplying higher!
I'm telling you many of them have many kids too, and yes they are having sex like rabbits too, it's amazing!
I seen one lady standing on the corner with 8 kids and one in the oven, omw! (She told me they were all hers too.)
Please don't get me wrong I'm married to a Hispanic, so I'm not racist or bigoted at all, I call things like I see it!
