CNN editing the truth?

I don't watch wrestling but I saw this on CNN and was surprised how honest John Cena was. Well apparently CNN edited the interview to make it sound like he is a jackass but then I watched the unedited video and his response is confusing.

He was asked "Have you ever used steroids?" and his answer was "I can't tell you that I haven't but you'll never be able to prove that I have." That seems like an admission of usage.

I think he meant to say "I can't tell you I have but you'll never be able to prove that I haven't." Whoops.

first off i should say i am a casual wrestling fan (yes i know its fake!).

But to be fair to think that the majority of them do not use steriods is nuts. But then it really does nto matter since its FAKE.

i guess it does matter since its against the law.

It's fake, why do people care about this?

I know it is fake, that isn't the issue. The issue is that WWE and a many people think that CNN edited the video to make it sound like Cena admitted to using steroids. However, I think Cena fucked up and swapped his answer around by accident and ended up admitting to it.

again who cares? its not like he is getting a unfair advantage over anyone.

sure i am willing to bet that 80% (more then likely higher) of them use them. But besides the fact they are against the law, who really gives a fuck?

impossible, media never edits anything. if they did, there would be titles such as "Editor" within the media.

wait...

actually that isn't what he said at all. he told them absolutely 100% he's never taken them, then went on to talk about the above comment in a different context. cnn re-aired the documentary yesterday with what he actually said.

In the unedited version the first words out of his mouth were "Obsolutly not" Then he goes on and into that weird statement. Which doesn't make sense to me how ever you spin it.

Saying something like " I can tell you I haven't, but I'll never be able to prove it." is more in line with his point.

Link to video? The link I posted has an "unedited" version that WWE posted. Even the unedited version looks like he is admitting to it.

Again, I don't care about the steroid use, I am more interested in the brouhaha surrounds the supposed "editing" that CNN did of the clip. In my opinion they didn't use his comments out of context. Both clips seem to suggest he has used steroids.

Way to be a douche cnn, did you even watch the vids? He clearly answered no to the steroid question and was very clear to me.

What I don't understand is why they'd bother. I mean, it's not like they're in a competition, they won't get any advantage from using them, so why risk your health?

because McMahon has a hardon for huge buff guys. though so do many of the people that watch it. They would rather watch a guy who is buff with no skills (cena) over someone that is smaller but has a lot of skill.

Right, I think he just flubbed the subsequent comment around 1:15 in.

people care b/c these guys are role models to new generations of little redneck kids. they are worried that the little redneck kids will weaken their bones to the point that they can no longer hold their shotguns, or shrink their nuts to the point that they can't make more little redneck babies.

I, for one, do not want to live in a world without rednecks (honestly).
