Sometimes the ideologues are right. I know the truth shot hurts, but we have to get rid of the undemocratic infection somehow.
How many jobs were lost in the last 8 years, versus how much did the population grow? And how many jobs weren't really lost, they just wandered to other countries for lower pay, instead? Meanwhile, that void was not filled, and the Republikrat government did nothing to stop the middle class from dying. And don't deceive yourselves one minute about this, the middle class is DYING. If you are poor, you don't notice it, and if you are rich, you are insulated from it. But those lost jobs were nearly ALL (99%) lost from the middle class sector.
The U.S. Department of Labor report released today also shows the unemployment rate remained at 6.1 percent, largely due to the large number of jobless workers who no longer are counted because they have given up looking for work. In addition to the 9.5 million workers who meet the Labor Department?s official definition of ?unemployed,? another 6.1 million are working part-time because they can?t find full-time work, and half a million have given up looking for a job.
Estimates are over 10-15 million jobs LOST in the USA in 8 years, and this is likely a low estimate. Just Michigan lost roughly 315k jobs in 8 years, another low ball estimate that does not include mom and pop type of small business jobs lost. If it's not the governments responsibility to control the erosion of jobs in the USA, then whos job is it? No one wants to take this hot potato and take responsibility, and no one wants to figure out a solution. But the Republikrats did NOTHING to stop this, and in fact were supported by corporate lobbies to ENDORSE this job erosion by business and financial interests.
So if I sound no better than the Republikrats about this, obviously, you need a refresher course on what fascism is and how it's used to manipulate a political system, even our questionable democratic government.
