if she was a "friend of the Arab world", does this help or hinder those who killed her?

since she was kidnapped by insurgents, and the insurgents are the just freedom-fighters, she obviously was guilty, deserving her punishment for her crimes against them....right?

Working for a Western organization whose mission is:

Our Mission
Our mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world. Drawing strength from our global diversity, resources and experience, we promote innovative solutions and are advocates for global responsibility. We facilitate lasting change by:

Strengthening capacity for self-help
Providing economic opportunity
Delivering relief in emergencies
Influencing policy decisions at all levels
Addressing discrimination in all its forms

Guided by the aspirations of local communities, we pursue our mission with both excellence and compassion because the people whom we serve deserve nothing less.

Can't imagine these vile murderers gaining any PR points except among others of their ilk.

Please don't try to turn this into a flame war. This poor woman spent her entire adult life trying to help people, and her death is a tragedy. Your comments are disrespectful to her memory and her family, who surely don't want her death to serve as an anti-Muslim rallying cry. Please take your hatred elsewhere, out of respect for this sad event.

And people railed against me for wanting to see a Marine sentenced to death for a cold-blooded murder?

Where are those people now to rail against GoPackGo's insensitivity?

not trying to turn this into a flame war...trying to make a point.

many here have called the thugs that killed her "freedom fighters" or relating them to patriots fighting for their country against the occupation.

even conjur who seems to be saddened by her death doesnt speak out and condemn those who did it.

these people want to fight US soldiers, fine! but they should leave innocent people alone.

Because GoPackGo is clearly being sarcastic along the lines of some Michael Moore quotes, where you were just showing your true hatred. Funny you are more upset about GoPackGo's "insensitivity", than you are about the animals that did this.

Good point. May the people in here keep that same thought in mind when continually bringing up the deaths of US soldiers.

Also, he said nothing whatsoever about "Muslims" so don't try to make it out as if his statement was some hateful rant. He said "insurgents" and if her death is to have any meaning or possibly bear some tragic fruit, hopefully it will further inform people that these insurgents are not fighting for Iraq or Iraqis, but only for themselves and their own personal gain.

Perhaps it should serve as a anti-fundamental/militant islam outcry. Soemthing even the dutch are starting to learn.

Didn't see any post like this from you towards Conjur when he wished your fellow serviceman death, DonVito. Brainwashing complete?

He used the word "infidel," which to me is clearly being used sarcastically as a shot at Muslims, rather than the collaborators specifically. In either event, I don't think this awful murder is occasion for sarcasm.

I hope there's a special place in hell for whoever did this. Even the bloodthirsty killer al Zarqawi wanted to see Margaret Hassan spared.
