Nothing at all. CNN likes to make people that stayed glued to them, scared. Why else would the latest news article be called "CNN Breaking News" and always in red at the top of their home page..... OOOOO! Breaking News! Scary times!

CNN is pathetic, and i'm glad i finally broke free of their stupid attempts to glue ppl to the t.v.

You know, that is great. It's WONderful. I hope that the United States invents some way to capture it all on video, because I know for one that I will enjoy watching over and over the expressions on everyones faces as they die. Especially the ones that are farther out from the epicenter of the blast -- the quick deaths at ground zero are kind of amusing, but wathing painful agony on everyone's faces as they first are seared with 3rd degree burns across their bodies and eventually succumb to the inexorible radiation poisioning will provide me with excitement and thrills for months to come.

And why would they need chemical warheads if they have no chemical weapons (according to their own report submitted to UN)
BINGO!!!

I was wondering how long it would take before someone figured this out. Why else would they have them? Are they therapeutic somehow?

Sounds like a job for Snoop Dog: Bush Gone Wild!

Video of places, persons, and things being blown to smithereens. Meanwhile a live crowd or canned effects, hootin and hollerin fills the background. There are plenty of people who have already started in this thread, I'm sure they'd buy the video and probably have the time of their lives watching it too. Losers.

The goverment cannot tell the public everything. Eventually you will find out the real reason we are going to war with Iraq. They may have our piliot that has been missing since 1991, they may have funded a terrorism attack or we may have prevented a terrorism attack that we can prove thay had part in.

Hang in there, we do not know all of the facts.

Just my two cents.

Propaganda BS

NYTimes Inspectors Find Empty Warheads in an Iraqi Depot

"The inspectors stumbled on the warheads in a bunker at the Ukhaider Ammunition Storage Area, about 90 miles southwest of Baghdad. The trove included 11 empty 122-millimeter chemical warheads and "one warhead that requires further evaluation," said Hiro Ueki, the spokesman for the inspectors in Baghdad. He did not elaborate.

He said the warheads were in "excellent condition" but added that they were "similar to ones imported by Iraq during the late 1980's." He noted, however, that they had been found in bunkers that were not constructed until the late 1990's.
________

Does anyone else get the impression that there is a deliberate misinformation campaign being waged. I bet that fake picture is being posted all over in Mid East newspapers and message boards. The part about the warheads being in excellent condition is ,I am willing to bet, conveniently left out of their reports.

We get people on this board saying that Americans are brainwashed by the US media. So, has anyone else seen that fake pic? If you agree that it is fake, what does it say about which side is being swayed by false information?

You REALLY need to test your links.

First one-> "The Bible says don't steal bandwidth"
Second-> "Please login"

Why thank you flavio, I course I just picked a random link to post without checking to see what was on it.

Yes, I knew the NYTimes was a regestration required site. That's why I specifically posted the relevant information from the article.

Well, you got a postcount ++ out of it so all was not lost, right?

BTW, do you want the screenshot from my computer showing the pic that Ornery listed with the address that I posted? Would that make you happy?

Thank you Ornery.

Now, does anyone have anything to say about why so much disinformation keeps popping out of the Mid East? Is it a deliberate campaign of an organzation or just a small group with an axe to grind?

Hmm, is that even a Mideast based link? What does it have to do with the subject at hand anyway?

It's just the exercise of private citizen's right to freedom of speech.

Chill out. I was just pointing out that your links weren't working. You want to fight about it?

😀

If we all only knew what the intelligence community knows then everything would make sense. Thats why I dont beleive anything in the news. I didn't know that these Iraqi generals even knew what a storm in a tea cup was. lol very interesting.

Did you even look at the picture in question. It shows some rusty old pipes and says those are the chemical warheads that were found. It sort of ignores every report that has been made on them, to wit.

They were found inside of a bunker.
Picture shows them outside.

The UN inspector says they were in "excellant condition"
Picture shows what appears to be some rusty old pipes.

Picture caption at the bottom.
"Would any sane person claim this is proof of hiding anything?"

Would any sane person believe that picture? Do the people spreading that crap really think their targeted audience is that dumb?

Umm, like dude, I saw the picture and I'm aware that it obviously isn't a pic of what the UN inspectors just found, but I repeat the question: What does this have to do with the subject at hand?

To answer your questions.

Ya, I'm sure some "sane" people will believe that, just like "sane" people believe that group X is responsible for all that ails them or how Saddam is synomonous with 9/11.

Depending on who is spreading that crap(so far all I've seen is a picture of rusty pipes, a caption implying that it's related to the recent warhead discovery, but no link(net link or source) of where it has originated) AFAIK, this pic could be somebodies idea of a joke and not an actual attempt of propoganda. So if someone could provide a link beyond just a jpg on a blank page, we might actually have something to discuss, or at least a confirmation of sorts.

right?

empty = not filled yet

Possibly preparing to purchase or develop the chemical or biochemical material themselves to fill the warheads with.

Or, as it seems likely to be, *were* prepared to be filled with chemical or biological warheads, at one time.

What I asked, was whether you were against free speech. Since I see no other point being expressed.
Based on that I think I could find some interesting figures "cut from the same cloth" as you.
