Who else besides me is chomping at the bit to get their hands on the new firmware and software next Tuesday? I got an automated email a couple of days ago from Microsoft saying that on 11/13, they are ready to switch everything over.

I know I'm looking forward to it, the firmware was one of the reasons I finally made the jump and bought one. Well that and it was only 100 bucks.

I"m not only waiting for the new software for my zune 30, but I'm seriously considering going ahead and just getting the zune 80 when it's released

A Zune 80 is definitely going on my Xmas wishlist. I don't even have a Zune, but I installed the Zune software because it makes streaming .mp4s and .m4vs to my Xbox360 easier than hacking WMP's registry settings.

$400 for 16GB vs $250 for 80GB. Damn, what a sacrifice one must make.
