It's a Newegg rebate and they're using the folks at rebatestatus.com to handle the processing. It should be fine.

Keep in mind it's 6-bit color (16.2M colors).
 
I own one of these and I thick it is nice. Never really seen a 8bit panel though so who knows how great it really is. I payed $230. Only bad thing is the speakers on the monitor are not very loud, but that should matter too much. Also as for dead pixels I had none and my friend got the same monitor and he got no dead pixels either.
 
you guys have convinced me. i've been waiting patiently and this one hit the spot. the $15 shipping sorta sucks when you compare to their usual free fedex supersaver, but it steal beats the tax..

Bump and update. I got this today and it's an excellent monitor. No dead pixels, comes with both DVI and VGA cables and a male-male audio cable. Also, the warranty card that comes with it states a 3-3-5 dead pixel guarantee (as opposed to Newegg's 8 pixel policy). It says they'll replace it if it has more than 3 bright, 3 dark, or 5 defective pixels, or more than 1 set of a pair of adjacent bad pixels within 1 year. It's working great straight out of the box though.

Got mine the other day as well -- looks great, no dead pixels and is almost too bright. Had to really turn down the brightness to avoid burning out my eyes. Really puts my 19" CRT to shame. Was worried that an LCD would suck with gaming but the colors are much more vibrant (could be because of DVI), and I can't see any ghosting even though frame rates are 125+ in some games.

Speakers aren't that great but they're functional.
 
got one couple days ago its great no dead pixels but its really bright for me lol i be in the night and the white color blinds me even when brightness is on 0
