I have a brand new nv7-133R abit board. It booting off cd rom fine the first time, but the next time I booted I am getting this issue.

It will get all the way to "verifying DMI pool data..." and then lockup, I waited a while it doesn't recover. When I reset the computer it then gives "CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded". I have tried resetting the ESCD, and the BIOS with the jumper setting. But no go. It is still keeping the system time, so the CMOS battery is working right? I can't boot thing thing up to update any bios or anything. Any ideas?

Have you tried with minimal devices? Remove the sblive/ nics/modem and see

dgregory, If you have a CR2032 battery lying around that you know is good, try swaping it w/ the one in your MB and see if you issue goes away, just a thought, hope this helps :)
