CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded

My chipset fan on my a8n-sli had been real noisy recently and dropping to low speeds causing an error message on startup. I took my pc apart today to get at the chipset fan and see what was causing the problem. I tried putting some lube in the fan and put it all back together.

Now on startup I am getting CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded. When I see this message I power down the PC because I figure something is wrong. I am pretty sure I connected everything back the way it was. The only thing I am a little uncertain about is the little pin connectors for LED, and the buttons like power, soft restart etc. The PC was working fine until now. When I go into windows the Found New Hardware wizard pops up saying it found a multimedia controller, but I didnt install anything new. How can I troubleshoot this problem?
