CMOS: checksum error, defaults loaded. WHAT?

I just finished building my first computer and when i turn it on this is what it says. Pleas tell me how to fix this?

It should only do it once. Sometime if there is an incorrect BIOS setting, your computer will catch it and reset all your BIOS settings to the default values. There shouldn't be any problems created by it.

I don't have the OS installed yet, and I am using a LS 120 drive as my floppy, could any of that be the problem?

Not likely. Try reseating the memory, cards, check all cables, make sure the HD's and optical drives are jumpered correctly.

Oh yeah, i know this gets asked a lot but what is the normal temp for my duron 650 if you know? I think when I was in the BIOS it was running in the high 30'sC

Do you have the clear CMOS jumper enabled? If you do, then set it to disabled.

I'm not sure about that, but I think i fixed the problem, although I must be a retard cause I am having trouble with fdisk. I created a primary partion 50% of the drive, then I wanted to make 2 other partitions one being 30 and the other 20%, how do i do this?
