CMOS Checksum bad error?

Ok, so I go to get a new battery for my Asus A8V Deluxe today. I put the battery in and push the power button on. Nothing happenes and through my headphones I hear "System failed CPU test." So I unplug and plug some things in and I try to twist the heatsink/fan around a little. Turn it on an everything is fine except I got this error. I can still boot it just get this error. Should I take my hs/f off and look and see if everything is ok?

cmos checksum bad means the bios/cmos knows its lost power, jsut reset everything, assuming all the time and dates are wrong, as long as system is booting, and the error doesnt return, your fine
