And Koush will have an RC up for the Incredible after a single lingering bug is resolved.
RC3 for the Moto Droid 1 is coming, but, Koush needs a full charge on his Droid for testing. :p Should drop in the morning.

Cyanogenmod.com hasn't been updated yet, getting this information form his tweets.

Will update with links shortly. Full of all kinds of awesome. :)

Downloading RC2 for the EVO.....

I love CM as I hate Sense. I don't have 4G around here and don't really see the point of HDMI so those two points don't matter to me. Looks like they made so really nice changes to it. My main irritation was some screwiness with the BT from time to time but for a beta product not bad. I used to be a FreshRom junkie but have since converted. Plus the customized Nexus wallpaper rocks!

Not interesting for the Evo. I get it that this is a tough project, getting an AOSP build to run optimally, but until every feature of the device is actually supported I can't really take CM seriously. I know it's not their fault - the shipped Froyo kernel source isn't posted on HTC's site yet, so 4G, FM, and HDMI aren't going to work until then.

For now I'm running the rooted stock Froyo build w/ Launcher Pro instead of Sense, and the stock Sprint crapware removed (except for TV). Looking forward to a fully functional CM.

EDIT: I do live in a 4G market.

dang it! I just spent the whole night last night customizing Chromatic 4.3. I can't find a changelog for RC3.

Oh well. Time to backup and flash!

The thing I don't like about losing sense is the stock dialer is horrible. I like how you can start to spell someones name out on the number pad and it'll search through your contacts on the fly. Are there any good dialers in the market that provide this functionality?

did you enable touch dialer in call settings?

I just started typying "ma" and my phone suggested Mandie, Mandy and Hooker Mandy

Moto Droid and Incredible versions are up now too. Wish they were more proactive with updating their changelogs myself too.

I'll try RC3 for the OG Droid when it comes out. I haven't moved from Sapphire 1.0.0 since it nearly flawless. The only ROM so far where SetCPU doesn't go berserk in my experience.

When I hit the phone app, I see the 0-9 keypad that has the letters mapped to the number. So are you saying you can touch "6", "2" and it will give you suggestions for "ma"? That is not what happens on my Evo (CM nightly), but it did work that way with sense.

Sapphire has been extremely solid for me as well, but I've never had a problem with SetCPU on any ROM.

I'll be waiting for the final release of CM6 for the D1, unless I See something 'Must Have!' in the changelog.

Now, if I had a Slide, an Incredible, etc, I would have flashed already.

i just flashed to it from RC2, went flawlessly using rom manager, everything came back just fine from backups. Few aps that didn't show on the market with RC2 now work. however that was most likely a 2.2 vs 2.1 issue and not that 2.2 is out officially aps are getting fixed

only thing i dont like is that the theme i used to use hasent been updated yet :(

Flashed to RC3 from Sapphire, tried to apply Droid X theme, boot looped. Back on Sapphire via recovery.
I'll try again later.

Other than the ability to skin this, I don't really see the advantage to this rom?

you can skin almost all roms so thats not really an advantage. rom choices generally lie in preformance, stability, features and dev/community support

TBH you really cant go wrong with any of the popular ones

Droid 1. I installed it, and it's nice enough I guess but considering I lost all my data/settings it didn't seem to offer enough to bother putting all that back.
