having the clutch pushed in all the time will wear out the throwout bearing a lot faster. resting your foot on the clutch, before the disc actually disengages, will do this too. doesnt matter what gear the transmission is in for that wear to occur.

That is illegal in almost every state believe it or not. I don't know how it could actually be enforced though. The issue is you can not move forward fast enough if you are in neutral.Originally posted by: FrustratedUser
