This is why you booze it up before going out...so you sit there before goin out have a 40 and a couple beers...it's about 5 or 6 bucks if that...then you go out and you don't have to pay ridiculous prices for booze...I don't ever believe in buying drinks at places...

the thing that pisses me off is covers...friggin 10 dollar covers everyhwere...

$40 for cover? G'lord ... I remember paying $25 at a club in LA and I thought THAT was a lot. I stopped going because it's too expensive and it's not that much fun after you've gone millions of times.

Just go to a place early...some clubs do some Kill the Keg type stuff usually before 11. Plus, its usually no cover before 10 or something like that. Just go then, tip the keg girl often. You can get hammered for under 10 bucks.
