You're welcome. 🙂

How many tries did it take to get one?

With long exposures, I manage to get 40 photos one night. Many I do not publish as they are just ok. But sometimes I will end up with a few hundred pics and only a handful of good ones.

It takes patience, good location, a sturdy tripod, and some luck.

I have some other ones I like, but damn wires got in way. I been to busy to photoshop them out.

Lightning speaks with a forked tongue.

But still great pics, OP.

But another thing to add in terms of making great lightning pics, it helps if its not raining where you take the pics, who is willing to let their camera get wet?

What camera do you have?

Just a point and shoot. Sony Cybershot DSC-w210. I've thought of investing in a DSLR, but I can't justify the cost, I don't take enough pictures, and when I travel, I rather something small I can put in my pocket.

I don't mind as the gear I have offers some protection from the rain with weather sealing. Granted I don't want to be in a straight downpour either.

Awesome pictures! You have a really nice setup.

Thanks, Lots of OT to get it. I need more lenses though.
