unless you're wearing a 3-piece suit, tux, or are under the age of 10, I can't really see a situation where you could wear a tie with a vest and not look like a complete tool.

Thisaone...

Sweater vests look bad in my eyes. Either wear a sweater with a v-neck, or wear an actual button up best. Any young guy with a sweater vest looks old and tacky; it just don't look nice.
