Received snowboarding googles for Christmas. They have a sensor on, and the person who gave it to me does not have the receipt. I am screwed.

Wrap one of those very large rubber bands around the smaller side. You can obtain these rubber bands from the post office

What happens is the pressure builds up and pops it loose.

Just make sure it's not one that has ink in it.

It is not possible to wrap the rubber band around the smaller size, because you can't stick one in there. I'll try to use a metal grinder or something.

Flat rectangular one

Okay here's what you gotta do.

First, get some electrical tape, rubbing alcohol, and a rubber chicken...

Oh geez, those things are easy. That white round part is little more than a plastic cone with a nail through the middle.
A Dremel with a cutting wheel should make short work of it.

I think those only have an inductive sensor in them; there shouldn't be any ink.

That's the kind of stuff they had at Kmart when I worked there as a cashier. Nice PITA when I'd put some clothing over the sensor deactivation pad and it starts beeping and complaining - then I'd have to fish around the clothing and find the sensor to remove it, all the while the customers are getting more and more impatient.

Ah, a person gave you goggles with that huge sensor still stuck on. I see. ;)

I don't think those have any ink, they just set off alarms. The ones that do plainly state it. Dremel FTW.

Ah...guilty of receiving stolen property eh?

Obviously, now that you know it's stolen, you have an obligation to return the goggles and report your friend...or, just use a Dremel to cut the thing off and dump the friend while you're at it.

I work in retail and can tell you they are just the sound sensors. No need to worry about ink or anything. You can just cut that off or just a thick hair tie and just keep wrapping it around where the pin goes into the rectangular part. It'll just pop right off.
