Clothes in America

I´m going to Texas later in the summer and I wounder how expensive designer clothes are over there.
can anyone please post the price for som models from designers such as Paul Smith, Gucci, Lacoste and so on.

They're expensive. I'd think you would only find them in more upscale stores. Check out saksfifthavenue.com or other more upscale stores that have websites.

all depends on what you consider expsensive.

levi's jeans can cost as little as $40
diesel jeans can cost around $120
prada/LV jeans can cost around $400

in a lot of cases, you pay a high premium for the name, not so much quality

yes they are expensive. armani, gucci, dolce&gabbana, zegna, etc all have U.S. websites I think... maybe they'll have prices for you to get an idea... or search for sites selling those brands.

bluefly sells some designer stuff... they are discounted but have the list price as well, so you'll get an idea of it.

also, lacoste, is way overpriced in north america. lacoste is casual wear in europe, i have like 7-8 shirts and over 10 tshirts of it. but its considered a designer brand in here. sucks. i am glad i bought tons of them before I moved to N.A.

so? if you can afford it, why not? imo, although much of it is for the name, i seriously think most designer brand jeans fit me better than <$50 jeans.

Lacoste isn´t casualwear in Sweden, or in any other part of Europe as far as I know.
A lacoste polo t-shirt is around 120USD over here, and the cheapest pair of casual lacoste shoes is 120USD

Bluefly really overprices their 'retail' prices, IMO.

no, i would say the brand clothes are cheaper in here than in hong kong.

agreed. the name brands in america are substantially cheaper than in hong kong, given you dont just go out buying clothes everywhere.

however, its not cheap either. you pay mostly for the name, not the quality.

I paid $5 for a pair of boxers from jcrew and paid $5 for 2 pairs of boxers from walmart. I am still wearing the jcrew boxers. for the walmart boxers, after worn it for less than 1 hour, I took it off and returned it back to walmart.
I did paid for the quality. needless to say, I never buy anymore clothings from walmart.

the name = quality guarantee.

Ehhh, the Gucci turtleneck I want is like $300 over here in the US. 🙁 I will buy it when I get paid again though. 😉

All me socks are Lacoste. I find that they last longer and are much nicer, plus I never have any problems finding the other sock that way.
