To all users:

The server in the Atlanta data center has been experiencing some issues over the last few days. As a preventative measure, we will be transferring all accounts to another server.

The transfers will start around midnight tonight. You may notice a little downtime, however it will be minimal.

All your data has been backed up to another server as another layer of redundancy in protecting your data.

I do apologize for the short notice, however it is best to take care of this situation as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me directly at accounts@atotchat.org.

Oh man I knew this day would come yet again. I am so glad I decided to pay for hosting. I started with dartworths hosting but after problems like this and being held hostage, I decided to pay for hosting and I am so glad I did, because now my sites are so popular we have been featured on CNN and so many news articles and magazines. Image if I had free hosting and my sites went down and could not access them? I would be screwed. I recommend to everyone, if you have a site that you actually care about then forget any free hosting service and get a paid service.

Try http://axishost.com/index.php they offer a nice reliable plan for as little as $5.99 a month.

Me personally I use http://liquidweb.com/ with a VPS but they offer Standard support with PHONE support for as little as $14.95 a month I found out about liquidweb thanks to Rossman and I can not thank him enough.

Free hosting is like driving around in a "Ford Pinto" you never know when you will break down and you never know how long the tow truck will take to arrive (go back online), personally I like driving around in a reliable "Mercedes" (paid hosting) ;)

Besides, all accounts are 99% or greater uptime. I do not feel I have to defend myself every time someone makes a post about something they know nothing about. However, Epoman is such a piece of dirt and a troll that I will make the following statement.

I have never lost anyone?s data. I have never held anyone?s data ?hostage?. I have never asked for donations or extorted money from anyone. Being such the control freak that he is, he feels he can just come into anyone?s thread and trash it. Just go away you freak. We don?t want to hear your crazy rants on this board. You are nothing but a mean person and have the maturity of a 10 year old. I?m hosting over 500 different accounts and you are the only one that bitches over and over again. Give it up man and get some help. You seriously have a some anger issues and some other things going on and need help.

Just stop crapping in my thread.

LOL, I have anger issues? LOL All I did was give the members my opinion and give them some advice. You are the one who resorted to name calling, and I am the one with anger issues?

Do you see how dartworth speaks to people? Wow! Is this the type of person you wish to entrust with your data? If you trust him fine, but be careful and don't learn the hard way like I did the last time dartworth had a mental breakdown. BACKUP your data, please. Before you go to your site and it says account suspended and you then can't even access cpanel.

Oh and one more thing, I am a control freak for posting in a public forum?

epoman, i think a lot of people here have the common sense that if they'll be hosting these "AWESOME CNN-WORTHY WEBSITES" then they'll resort to buying webspace rather than getting a free service.

anything i upload isn't really *that* important so i dont feel the need to pay. since it seems as though your life depends on great webhosting service, i applaud the fact that you bought it. congrats to you.

Ah, but see my point is in my case I never expected my site to take off like it did, it started out as a blog like site and It just took off. If you are just building a site for fun, you never know if it will take off and gain popularity, and for now dartworths service is fine for hobby sites, all I am saying if your site becomes popular then you should consider a paid host.:)

And no my life doesn't depend on great webhosting, but it does make my life easier. ;)

Uh, of course you're going to want a paid host if you have a popular high-traffic site...

Bump for Dartworth!
