Hi ,

Is it possible to achieve the following ,Currently I have RAID 0 on 2 x 1Tb's HDD's and want to migrate everything onto 2 x 1Tb's ssd's samsung 840 Evo's. I'm on Win 7 pro and have already installed the 2 ssd's on to my system through SATA 6Gb. I can recognise them as external empty drives here:

Also is it possible to make the ssd's as RAID 0? When I installed the ssd's I booted into BIOS by typing CTRL+ I to try and create the ssd's as RAID but it would not let me maybe because I already have RAID 0 on current 2 x HDD's.

I'm trying to avoid the process of reinstalling everything and just do a straight clone. I have managed to create a backup of my pc onto external HDD using Macrium reflect.

Any help will greatly appreciated thanks in advance....

Herewith my Pc Specs:

Win 7 Pro
i7 3770k @ 4.4ghz
Gtx 980ti 6gb
Asus P8Z77-V PRO Z77 MoBo
16Gb Ram
2 x1TB SGATE ST1000DM003 SATA3

One of the arrays should be in the gray slots, the other should be in the blue slots. Don't use the Asmedia slots for raid.

Hi Ketchup,
Thanks for the reply with regards to this image of my Motherboard which one should I use? currently I have connected the ssd's to ports pointed with red arrows shown here:

or the last far right ones dark blue in color shown here:

The grey ports are currently occupied which I think the 2 x 1Tb HDD's are connected....

Looks like you have them in the Asmedia ports. Move them to the light blue ones.

Hi I have moved them to the light blue ones now they are showing in the options to create RAID.

Here with is where I am right now:

1.)I can see current RAID 0 on 2 x HDD's member disks and 2 x Samsung SSD's Non-RAID Disk.

2.)I have done stage 2 shown here on image below and chose STRIPE SIZE 128kb I'm not sure whats best? Probably 32kb or 64kb would do,I don't want to over stress my cpu.

3.)Pressing the Create Volume its asking to confirm by Y/N and states that all data on the disks will wiped out and that's were I'm stuck. I'm not sure as to which data its talking about since its not giving me a chance to SELECT DISKS to create RAID on. I'm afraid if I hit Y then I might delete everything on my current RAID 0 2 X HDD's.
Usually when creating RAID it gives you option to select DISKS to create RAID by selecting DISKS with SPACE bar. Please Help I'm confused....
