Cloning question

Does cloning delete data from the source drive? I was reading through the software I'm gonna use and it sounded like it might do that but wasn't sure.

no - it will delete data on the target drive (the one you're cloning to) if there's any on it

try EaseUS ToDo Backup - they have a freeware version for download that i've been using since 2008 and love it - the interface is real user friendly. On the second page, be sure to select "sector by sector"

What software you was reading? I never heard of any cloning software that would delete data from the source drive. It only delete all the data on the destination disk(the disk you clone to). If there are valuable data on the target drive, backup it before trying to clone hard drive to it.

By the way, I always use AOMEI Backupper to clone or backup.

He probably misread the information.
