Who would have ever known that the Coelacanth would live this long!? A 360 million year old fish that is still alive?! It is amazingly found in only Comoros and Indonesia. But hey, it's alive! It is truly a "Fish out of Time."
So can we really be sure that the Tasmanian Tiger is really extinct? Or is it just a very rare and endangered species that no one has seen in ages...

But as for cloning extinct animals...can it really be done? There have been talks of cloning the recently extinct mountain goat of Spain. And there have even been talks of cloning a frozen mammoth found in Russia. And even the Tasmanian Tiger...

So can it really be done? What are your thoughts?

Ummm...I'm no expert, but if they can get the DNA out of the remains of the animal and use the embryo of its closest (live) relative, I don't see why not.

That would be pretty cool actually. Only problem is, who would teach the new borns how to survive in the wild? I mean, they'd be born in a lab.

sure... why couldn't you clone extict animals? I think it would be a good idea for man to play nature... you see dinosaurs running around... humans are overpopulating the world... we need something to keep our population down... So I'm for it. Clone Extict animals.
