CloneCD/C&C Generals problem

Alright, so i hate swapping disks, so i usually just back everything up onto my 160G drive and use Daemon Tools to load games up. I just got Generals, and tried using CloneCD to make a .CCD image that Daemon would later use. Problem is, it's not exaclty coming along very well. It's running at 0.4x, and says it will take another 2 hours! I downloaded the latest CloneCD and tried two different CD drives. So what's wrong here? Is there something i can do or am i stuck waiting for 2 hours?
