Clone using ghost and external usb hdd

I have 5 machines 4 are blank (new hard drives) but all systems have 100% exact same setup. So, I'd like to clone the 1 computers contents to the other 4 using ghost.

I tried using Hiren's 9.8 (ghost 11.5) but it does not see my external usb hard drive. Might anyone have a clue?!?
