Clocking P4 1700

Go check with Wingznut Pez. He has got his 1.7GHz to somehwere near 2GHz.
 
I've got a 1.5 gig at 1800 on air, Just got my swiftech mcw462 water block yesterday, with tec kit.... heh 🙂 Oh yeah, 1800 @ 1.66 volts, and 30c cpu temp, I think it may go higher 🙂
 
The P4's overclock quite nicely. you should be able to get the 1.7GHz P4 up to 1.9-2GHz, possibly up to 2.1GHz though that's a bit less likely.
 
110x17=1.87 was all i could get out of the 1.7 that i built. granted that was with an indego orb, probably would have went a little farther with beter cooling but i have heard that the i850 boards tend to top out anywhere between 110 and 120 depending on luck of the draw so it doesnt give you a whole lot of headroom for overclocking in the long run.
 
P4 1.7 @ 2074, 1.8v, Asus P4T.
Had it stable at 2125, killed my mobo and got another one but the temps are a little higher using this one. Hopefully I can get it straightened out. Water cooling.....
 
Ok i'll probably need to buy better cooling before trying to oc the p4. It runs quite hot even unclocked. Does anyone know wich fans are the best ?
