I'm curious if anybody has used clockgen and if they think it is a good program. I am going to OC my opty165 but would also like to be able to drop the speed when I goto bed. Apparently my k8n sli turns off C&C automatically when I put in user defined information for the multiplier and memory speed

ClockGen works just fine, especially for uses like you plan on. Also, it's good for checking overclocks, without having to reset the BIOS, on motherboards that don't allow recovering from a bad overclock without resetting the BIOS.

I use clockgen with one of my systems since it has no overclocking options in bios. Gets my 1.6ghz pentium-m running at 2.4ghz, so can't complain at all. Plus it's convinient to be able to adjust the OC while in windows, crank the speed down when I don't need it, then just turn it back up when I do.

i have used clockege nin the past. its nice if you set the ram divider in the bios before hand.

plus if you want to redue your speed when your ot using it i would recommend rmclock.

yup everything is set in bios before, figured that would be the best way to do it.

EDIT:
I checked out RMclock and it kicks ass, playing in the bios disabled AMD's C&C but this works even better, adjust voltages on the fly and cpu speed.

thanks tanishalfelven
this helps alot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
