I was also thinking about how dumb the 12 hour clock is. It should be a 24 hour clock in the digital age.
Why 24? Why have both hours and minutes instead of just minutes? What about factor-10 time? How radical are you willing to go?

We should just switch to metric time!

Yeah, this would just be perfect. A bastardized version of time invented by the damn Canadians, where each hour is equal to 2.54 and each minute is equal to -17.22.

"Hey Bob, what time is it?"
"Uh, it's about 20.32:-430.5. Because of Canadians or some shit."

I'm ok with dropping back to EST and then not doing DST anymore. Oh, and 24 hour time ftw

If DLT goes away, I hope Arizona jumps to PST instead of staying with MST.

I hate that it's pitch black before AND after work. We should switch to 6 hour work days in winter. :p Actually with my job at least I get lot of time off so I get to see light on those days as long as I don't sleep in too much.

Yeah, wish they'd stop this palavar of faffing about with the clocks every year. I don't see the point of it. We aren't all subsistence farmers. It seems such a waste of effort. I don't mind whether they stick with 'daylight saving time' all year or with, er, 'normal time', just pick one and stick with it.

What do subsistence farmers care about the clock?

We tried to do it in CA, it was on the ballot around a year ago IIRC, don't know what came of it. We lurch back Sunday morning. I'm all for no ST/DT, just a hassle changing all my time keeping devices 2x/year. It wouldn't bother me doing away with that at all, my lifestyle would not suffer.
