This is NOT a flame post or an attempt to make it one. Just have been asked this question and I'm afraid I don't know the answer.
Ok, so question being is that Intel chips run faster, but AMD chips don't run as fast but are on the same level if not above the Intel chips. When I explain this to other people I say something like this:
"Imagine that Intel and AMD are delivery trucks, and they're headed to the same destination. The Intel truck takes the freeway which makes it so it can go at a faster speed, where as the AMD truck goes on back roads so it can't travel as fast, but these back roads are short cuts and actually get to the destination faster."
So yeah, that's what I say when people wonder why for the same amount of money they can get in Intel chip at 3.0GHz or an AMD chip at 2.0GHz. So MY question then is what are the clock speeds of the AMD compared to the Intel? Meaning a 2.0GHz AMD Chip equals an X.XXGHz Intel Chip, 2.6GHz AMD Chip equals an X.XXGHz Intel Chip.
Thanks
