However, I think the sheer weight of his office should've dictated that he be discreet about it, and if I learned anything in college, its that 20-something college girls/interns ARE NOT capable of being discreet! So find a grown-up mistress and keep it quiet, not for moral or religious reasons, but for POLITICAL reasons. If you're president, there's always an enemy that will use it against you. So just be smart.

I totally disagree!
I found it refreshing that we would have such a conservative president as Clinton who had no quams about his or any other womans sexuality!

Maybe you feel that way, but much of the rest of the country wanted to impeach him over it (sorry, even if you're correct, the adults still outnumber you).
No they didn't. The only ones who wanted to impeach him were the partisan hacks in the House who put their party ahead of their country. They knew they couldn't beat Clinton on issues, so they went personal, and the people knew that. Just look at the polls at the time. Clinton was at close to 70% approval at the time of impeachment. That's double of Bush today.
So you'd basically rather we lose a decent president than he just put his dick away when there's company around?
We didn't lose a decent president, thank God, the Senate put an end to this nonsense and acquitted him.
And how did he get caught? The stupid b*tch told a casual acquaintance from work! If that doesn't prove me right, I don't know what does. I'm not saying I care if he got his bone waxed, just that he should've found a woman to do it instead of a dingy sorority slut. Use some common sense, Mr. President.
He doesn't have the best taste in women, I mean most people wouldn't touch Paula Jones with someone else's d!ck. And Monica Lewinsky... I guess he truly was our first black president. :D

Her 15 minutes of fame are up, she needs to find some new material.

He still has his legacy to worry about, although he's pretty much screwed because of all his scandals. Of course there's nothing he can do with this bit of tarnish, since he's guilty. I would expect him to ignore it, because he can't do anything else.

There is no point in him wasting time trying to defend his legacy to people who are so obsessed with his penis to think that his whole legacy is that of scandal. Clinton wasn't perfect, but I doubt there is going to be a president any time soon to match his record on economic expansion while running a fiscally responsible government. And because of that Clinton will be brought up again and again as a measuring stick for future presidents, much to the irritation of Republicans who want to make it all about his penis and who he showed it to or whose mouth he put it in.

You sound like a very good little Democrat. I'm not a Republican, and I'm certainly not obsessed with anyone's penis; however, scads of women coming out of the woodwork to tell of sexual harassment does take its toll in the eyes of the public. Like it or not, things like the Marc Rich pardon, Whitewater, and the other little peccadilloes of life with Clinton will stick in people's memories! George Bush is certainly a buffoon, where Clinton was not. However, Clinton was a proven liar, and allegations of corruption surfaced again and again-- it's just that all they could get him on was sexual stuff.

Your golden boy just wasn't perfect, and I wouldn't even call him honest.

Well let's see... he was held in contempt of court and disbarred IIRC. So while we don't know that Paula was telling the truth we do know that the judge was fairly cnvinced that Clinton lied.

Not that it matters now... NEXT!

Maybe so, but Bush is also a corrupt proven liar again and again, and it was a lie about something much worse than some stupid bj or scandal. The republicans are like little kids, they just won't let it go. If Bush does anything bad they just bring up Clinton lying about Monica. Like we are to believe that lying about a bj is much worse than lying about reasons going to war and getting people killed. Geez people need to grow up.

Gennifer flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky... yes we know. But really, a lie detector is psuedo science and based on the premise that if soeone lies their hear rate goes up and other changes in the body occur. If Paula believes Clinton exposed himself, the lie detector will show it as a truth. Regardless of whether the event happened or not. I don't care for Clinton but just wanted to say this thread is worthless.

Actually, most of the country supported Clinton throughout the ordeal, when he fessed up to fibbing. Please take note of the 60-70% approval rate AFTER the entirely politically-motivated GOP impeachment.

I propose a trade: Clinton takes a lie detector test to see if he lied about the sex and Bush takes one to see if he lied about WMD's/intelligence. Fair trade?

If he was so bad, how come the worst the GOP could find to impeach him on, after spending millions upon millions investigating him, was lying about a BJ? Think about that sometime.

Why use an unreliable method to confirm that which is already known? ;)

Yeah, so he had a healthy sex life outside of his marriage, don't you wish you did???

Never even seriously thought about it. If I did I would'nt maintain a sham of a marriage like Clinton has for at least 20 years.

A fight between the elites!

Anyways, I'd rather have him back in office than the current whackjob. Like I said before, it's a shame people still hold animosity toward Clinton when they should be asking themselves why don't they feel the same about Bush, afterall he is the one that lied about Iraq, has gotten people killed and is continuing to do so.

Make a thread about Clinton and all his mighty men come in to defend him. He doesn't even need to spend any money on PR, just have P&N defend him. Oh yeah, fair indeed. When will you guys look at things fairly? Look at the whole picture, not just special groups or special people? Clinton has made horrible mistakes during his Presidency but he was a good overall President. You are not looking at things objectively if you deny Clinton's wrongdoings. I know that Democrats, if you are a left leaning person, never make mistakes. I also know that Republicans, if you are a right leaning person, never make mistakes. But still, as hard as it is, double check what you hear and what you see because you may be getting deceived. Speaking of which, I need to double check it myself.

I asked before, and nobody every managed to post a link to an authoritative source showing that Bush lied about WMDs in Iraq. In order to lie, you have to know you're lying-- you know that, right? Otherwise it's called "being mistaken".

Nobody is saying Clinton didn't make mistakes. Some people come here pretending that Clinton's legacy is just scandal, and that's complete nonsense and no more objective than claiming Clinton never made mistakes. As far as Paula Jones is, if Clinton did expose himself to her, she still needs to move on with her life like he has. I mean, she has never seen a penis before or since?
