climber almost falls

OMG, so many evil things going through my head while I was watching that video, like tossing the rope to his face causing him to lose balance and fall to his death while screaming "curse you, you son of a bitch!"

He had protection set already so even if he did fall it wouldnt have been that bad. Well assuming he set it up correctly. If you didnt notice he is lead climbing so he is roped in. And is route selection seemed a bit...questionable. He chooses to go up the obviously saturated ice/snow route instead of the drier looking ice/snow to his right.

If the idiot know what he was doing, he wouldn't be climbing up the running mini waterfall. I wouldn't shed one tear if he died.

I don't even know what I just watched. Was he in danger at some point? Isn't cliff climbing always 1 second away from danger? I've never understood this hobby.

If the people in front of him didn't delay him from being over worrying, he'd probably have made it.

These kinds of guys play the risks. It's what makes them more men than those thinking having a high score on CoD makes them more manly.

🙂

It seems like he was one step away from that ice sheet falling out from under him before had the rope hooked up.

in which case he would have fallen all of 10-20 feet assuming his protection was set up properly. He was already roped in and was leading climbing on another rope. He was never in all that great of danger

I see, I didn't realize he was roped into other climbers.
