Clif Bars at Amazon 7.99/dozen

I've never been able to get into Clif Bars for some reason, and yet I love the taste of Powerbars (supposedly inferior taste). I'm tempted to try again with this mint flavor.

These things seem similar to Powerbars. How does the taste compare to them?

I hate ALL powerbars. The Peanut Butter is edible if I'm very hungry (good for 1-2 day LANs with no other food).

IMO they taste a lot better than Power Bars, and their texture is much more food-like. They are also easier to eat, since Power Bars are so gluey in texture.

Regarding the taste of these, they are okay but not snack quality. I carry them on long bike rides for energy. They taste a LOT better than extruded bars like Powerbars.

Just my opinion of course.

I think the cool mint chocolate tastes like girl scout thin mints. I also like the peanut crunch and the caramel apple cobbler is just awesome. I've tried the black cherry almond and didnt' care for it. Since this is a personal issue YMMV. I think they taste better than powerbars. Also mine that I ordered for 7.99 each were set to expire late next year so they are very fresh. Enjoy!
