Client for Microsoft Networks won't install!

When I go into the network configuration panel I get this message that says "Your Network is not complete. Do you want to continue?" This is probably because I had removed the Client for Microsoft Networks, since I didn't get that message until I removed it. So I go to Add.. -> Client -> Client for Microsoft Networks. Client for Microsoft Networks then appears with the other network components that are installed and I click OK and it says I have to restart the computer. I click OK and the computer restarts and I go to see if it is still there. NOPE. When I open Network Configuration, I still get the message and it still isn't there. No matter how many times I add Client for Microsoft Networks and reboot, it still doesn't work. What should I do?

What else is installed in Network Properties? Have you tried reinstalling your network card (delete everything listed in Network Properties, reboot, allow PnP to redetect and reinstall)?

I also have installed my NIC, the TCP/IP for my NIC, and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks. I am afraid to reinstall my NIC because it is an ISA SMC EtherEZ that @Home installed for me when I signed up for their internet service and I am not sure where I can get the drivers for that to reinstall.

BTW, I am running Windows 98SE.

Try removing File & Printer Sharing. Restart.

Then try and reinstall Client for Microsoft Networks.

Beats me, but its worth a try since you dont want to reinstall the network adapter.
