I keep trying to connect to berkeley with my Q and it disconnects after a few attempts, is anyone else seeing this problem?

Yes, and it is trashing out my log files. 🙁 I tried going straight to Berkeley hoping it would help OK, but no luck. I may have to increase my donation to my Alma Mater so they can get an AOL account or something to help....

So I am not the only one... 🙁

Getting real discouraged here, even though I said I wouldn't. 🙁

I can't keep baby sitting my machines so I am letting them do their thing. Either they will get wus or they won't....

I don't know about the other Qs, but at the rate mine is NOT uploading and NOT downloading, I'll be out of business in a couple days. If everybody is in the same boat, the project essentially ends until they fix the problem.

spring break should be coming up in a few weeks, so i would imagine the bandwith would really free up then and everyone could dump and get all the new WU's they need.

As long as we're discussing upload/download of WUs with SetiQ.. is there a way to tell the queue to only download new units without flushing, or conversely, flush the units it has done without grabbing new ones?

NWM,
I don't know. I do know that you can set the preference to upload or download first, but as far as only one or the other, me no know.

And both my work Q and home Q are experiencing some of the connection problems of other Qs. I've got 5 WUs in the Results Q at home, and about 8 WUs at work. Until today, the Results folder was empty. 🙁

Yes but it does no good as nothing is comming down either🙁

NWM- I don't know that you can have it only download but you can have it only upload by going to Queue Settings in the Settings tab and then double clicking on your Queue name and lastly unchecking the allow download of work units to this queue option.

[EDIT] BTW mine also keeps disconnecting and it is really ticking me off.:|

WOW-this bandwidth thing is getting bad!!!! I had 2 people lined up to join and got discouraged trying to get their accounts started.

Like Finger said, even though it's is disconnected, it will automatically reconnect in 10 minutes. If you don't think so, check your log files to see if it actually attempts to connect. Don't worry about it that much.

What really seems to be the problem is that the "Max retry time" can't be anything under 10 minutes. 🙁
