Is there a hack or prog that will do the anti-aliasing of screen fonts, like WinXP?

Nope, Win2K's display subsystem has no means to do the subpixel anti-aliasing ClearType does.

could there be a third party program out there that does it? i tried searching, but didn't come up with anything

btw, my laptop only has about 4GB of HD space, so I wanted to conserve some space by using Win2K

Actually, this is interesting....someone pointed out this link to me: ClearType tuning for WinXP

I tried it out, thinking that it was in vain......but now I notice that some of my bold fonts are "ant-aliased".......

like this

can anyone else with Windows 2000 try this out and see if they get the same results?
