Clearing software

Im looking to clear my laptop of all my files except my OS. Im looking to sell my laptop and need some kind of program to delete everything. Any ideas?

It would probably be best to format and reinstall Windows (or your OS of choice).

reformat. there are dozens of utilities available that you can recover deleted files with. Consider using DBAN and a DoD-quality algorithm.

And, if you're not selling the XP disc with the laptop, do not reinstall the OS, sell it blank.
