How do I get IE to clear my history bar automatically? Getting busted at work... they said they "cleaned out the server" and the people going online. But it was that I forgot to clear my history. How do I do it so nothing stays in the history bar, ever?

On the content tab of tool\internet options... of IE you can set it so that it does not automatically give you recently visited web pages when you type in an address, but that is not the same thing as clearing the history. You can set the length of time to keep things in history to zero as well, but I am not sure at what point it then cleans the history out. Maybe it's when you logout. Any way, hope something there helps you out.

I think tweakUI has some options that allow you to clear your history every time you shutdown.

You will get busted at work regardless of clearing your history. Everything you do is logged on their server.

They probably aren't looking at your computer to find out where you have been. Its all being logged elsewhere. So clearing your history automatically doesn't work.

You don't even know where or what type of environment I work in.

I work in a kiosk, not a large office with cubicles. I have a DSL line out of a Walmart I'm located in. How could they be "logging" it? I know for a fact they aren't. They used "We were cleaning out the server and we noticed large amounts of traffic." The fact of the matter is that the owner of the company stayed at my kiosk later than I did and looked in the history bar and found sites such as yahoo.com, hotmail.com, this site.com, and whatever else was in there.

I don't surf porn sites from work, I'm not that dumb.

Thanks for letting me know that there is no way to clear history automatically. Thanks.
