Clearing CMOS after BIOS flash

going to flash my abit p35 to hopefully correct a wake up problem i keep having. It says to clear CMOS after the flash, is that a must?

I never have but, I believe in following the manufacturers instructions. Just never had one that told me to do that.

I don't think it would hurt but I also don't think it will help either..to each his own
