I had a SLAP II type repair and major debridment after tearing the cartliage in my left shoulder labrum when getting knocked down doing squats. For the past two years I was mobile, but couldn't even ride a bike due to anything keeping my shoulder moving or at that angle causing a ton of swelling.

I had my sling off in 8 days, was in PT that following Monday. I did 18 sessions and had 100% range of motion by my 10th.

Doctor originally cleared me two weeks ago to do anything as long as I kept my reps to 15 or more. I am on my 3rd week, 8th workout tomorrow.

My lifts are still crappy but I have gone from 30lb DB's for bench to 60lbs (12/10/10 reps). Squats at 95 to 175lbs now 10-12 reps, curling 30lb DBs for reps, etc.

Waist is down 2 inches, stomach way down. Dropped 15 lbs.

Looking forward to the next 2 months.

you got hurt by being knocked down while squatting? and clearly it was a life altering injury...did someone do this to you? I would want revenge.

It was a couple kids running through the gym. I now believe it may have been one of the mother's that were doing the fitness classes. By the time I got up they were gone and of course all the other women from that class claimed it wasn't anyone they knew.

end of week #3, 12th workout. 65lb DBs for bench, 225lb squats, curling 40lb dbs now.

Still down 15lbs and clothes are getting more loose. Just a bit of spare tire to lose. Arms and legs are tight.
