Clearcoat on inkjet printed CD/DVD?

Anyone who uses an Inkjet printer to print onto CD/DVDs ever tried applying clearcoat to protect the ink from running?

I've heard good things about the quality of the print, but that it's susceptible to running if it gets wet (not that I intend to take them on scuba trips, just want to make sure it's protected).

thanks.

that's a good idea...the clear coat would need to be applied evenly to prevent the cd from wobbling while spinning, right?

Do you have a compatable printer yet? I'm pretty sure the included instructions for the printer will have some info.

A clear polyurethane spray should work.

Something like this.

Home depot will have it mixed it with their spray paint cans. Just make sure you don't get any of it on the bottom of the CD/DVD.

Edit... I have never done this, so don't blame me if this causes your computer to explode. I'm just saying it's the frist thing I would try.

I've also been reading that Walmart has some cheap clearcoat to use.

Now I just gotta find a good deal on an Epson R300!
