I'm wondering if the 8000 would fit in my Foxconn P4M800P7MA-RS2. The stock Intel Pent-D cooler has the fins almost touching some transistor thingys in there, which are about 1" tall

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/Upload/Ma...10210228030718_P4M800P7MA-EKRS_Big.jpg

they are on the right side of that picture, the ones on the top are about .7"

those are the only real issues I see, but I wasn't sure exactly the differences between stock and the 8000, and I'm pretty lazy to rip it apart and do a lot of research if someone knows off the top of their head.

Those are capacitors and as long as the HS does not touch them, your good to go.

I count ten missing capacitors on that board. The bean counters do that before final production.

Anyone know the dimensions of my stock pent-d cooler to compare against the zal 8000 ?

and would the 8000 be the best bang for my buck for that mobo in my xqpack? stock doesnt cut it anymore

also should i get any other cooling? gpu or northbridge or anything else?

I'm not saying it won't happen but the odds are slim to none.

Foxconn are not a common board here and this is a brand new release from Zalman.
I have not seen one post of the CNPS800 and a search of this board brings up nothing.

Email the pic to Zalman with your question.

Nice Zalman sink btw. Looks like it might be a tad better than a $22 XP-90. ;)
