Like the idea!

Is this case very "finished" looking (not a lot of air leaks, etc.)?

Does anyone have one that they can share their feelings regarding these cases.

I think I must have one......

Well, I'd tell you how I feel about them, but I guess that'd be a bit biased, wouldn't it?

But, to answer one of your questions...YES, it's very finished. The rear I/O port is covered with a chrome panel, as an option. Also, I have Drive Bay covers available for open exposed bays. When the case is assembled and you put your parts into it, it "leaks" about as much as any other case. Most of the case is epoxied together, so they don't "leak" at all. When the Drive Bay and side panel are screwed in place, they are pretty tight. Of course, most customers want lots of fan holes, so they do "leak" lots of air ;)

Thanks Techru....

Ok.... so it leaks and it doesn't leak...lol!

I think I must have one. How backordered are they? When could I expect to get my hands on one?

Thanks.... for the post(s)!

While we're on the subject, I've been wondering about electromagnetic interference with all-plexi cases and even case mods with plexi side panels or windows. Anyone know what kind of EMI issues you get into when you lose the shielding of steel panels? Since a lot of brand-name cases ship with steel inserts for empty drive bays just for the purpose of preventing EM "leakage," you'd think it's a big issue. But I've never heard anyone who has an open case or plexi mods gripe about EMI, so maybe it's blown way out of proportion.
Techru, since this is your bread and butter, any thoughts?

Well, as far as I can tell you, from personal experience, and the comments from my customers, it's blown out of proportion. I won't say it isn't an issue, or that it's irrelevant. I don't have the scientific background for that. But, I can say that from a "real-world" environment, that it isn't as big of a concern as it's made out to be.

I'm not sure if this is true of all "plexi" cases or windows. But, the acrylic I use doesn't seem to bring any negative affects with it. Some engineers told me that the physical properties and compositional makeup of the 1/4" thick polycarbonite acrylic (it's density, basically) made it very good at sheilding EMI. Like I said before, I can't say for sure, because that's not my schooling or background.

Cybordolphin,

That depends on your definition on swamped ;) I have many orders to get out before I can start the next "new" order. Right now, I'm looking at the next open slot being in the 2nd or 3rd week in October. I'm always getting new orders though, so that's hard to guess at.

The best thing to do is shoot me an email, let me know what configuration you want, with or without the components like fans, grills, PS units, etc. I try to respond to all emails as fast as I can, but I get about 150 emails a day too ;)

Once the order is placed and payment has been recieved, I place the order in the queue. Once it comes up, it usually only takes 3-5 days to cut and finish a case and get it out the door.
