There is no purpose; just a question,
as you see in pic in win 10 Edge you open History and you have a few boxes ticked by default and a few others not ticked,just wanted to know what other boxes could one tick and not to mess things.
 
It's personal preference IMO. I can't remember the last time I removed data from Firefox on my personal machines.
