Clear Channel using RDS for Artist/Title?

The Canadian stations that I can get here have been using RDS for a while. It kicks ass...too bad only my parents' Liberty has an RDS-compatible radio. Dunno about Clear Channel using it though, I'll check it out when I'm next in their car.

I don't have an RDS capable radio, but even if I wouldn't know about Clear Channel's use of RDS as I try to stay as far away from Clear Channel stations as possible.

I saw a lot of it going down the interstate to MS this past weekend. Then the major Clear Channel station in town started doing it. Yeah, it is pretty cool, but I wish the alternative stations would start doing it as wlel instead of just using RDS for call letters or station name.

I've been seeing the channel name and music type for a couple years, but I still haven't seen any artist/title info.

fvck clear channel....that is all
That's all there is to say, really. Of the three previous rock stations in GA that were good, there is now one. It is the one not owned by Clear Channel.

At first the one clear channel station I listened to would just display the Station name and frequency. I was impressed when they started displaying the song information. I like it because I don't have to figure out the names of new songs when I want to DL them
