no, if you just use canned air, the dust blows out of one place, and into another. stick the vacuum there, and it will suck out the dust that the canned air blows out. just be careful of fans.
I've always tried to tell my students that their computers should never be situated close or on the floor. Dust collected can be the killer of many a computer due to heat buildup and other maladies.
Well, I always cleaned out their rigs when servicing with a small air compressor that I got from Sears long ago. This unit are no longer available but I found a unit that fills the bill here.
I'm a gadget guy and this little compressor is great for modelers and all around the house jobs.
My Sears unit has blown out many dust-filled computers and this is a must for the serious PCer.
