My computer desk has been in use since 1995. My brother used it pretty much exclusively for 3 years before moving out, and me for 2. Before that it was used by everyone, and lets just say it isn't the neatest thing ever.

Among the very old shit found:
- Old GPU (not sure which one)
- Huge BIOS chip (probably from our first computer)
- Gameboy Pocket
- "Backup" floppy for my brother
- Floppy of drivers
- Old analog(?) printer. I find it funny that it has a "silent print" option. If I recall, that thing was a loud slow MFer no matter what you tried.
- A yoyo

So...there any chance that I can get Oregan Trail running on Vista? :p

Edit: I just remembered that package came with Descent. RAWR! WHERE IS IT!

My PC is "modern".

My that, I mean its apparently too cool for a floppy drive. Besides, its 1997 pr0n...probably sucks.

I had problems getting Age of Empires to run on a computer that was widescreen. :( There appears to be no fix either.

So, I've been pwned by Oregon Trail? :(

Damnit, I want someone to die of dysentery or drown in 2 feet of water!

I know nothing about Oregon Trail, but there are some weird compatibility quirks.

Heck. To get some fairly recent Pop Cap games (I know, I know, shame on me) to run on Vista, I had to set them to run on Windows 98/ME compatibility settings with administrative rights. The 98/ME settings are weird since the games ran on XP just fine.

Man, Oregon trail was the shit. I remember playing it back in elementary school on some old-ass Macs.

Yup, in fact that was my first computer. Had Windows 95 and a whole 2G of space! I forgot the RAM, but I'm sure it was something laughable.

I played Hardball almost as much as oregon trail. I was never really good at it, just messed around not really following the game. I never really understood Magic Carpet either, but it was still fun. I think if I played it now the pseudo-3D would make me vomit, but fighting those flying caterpillars was pretty entertaining.
