cleaning tips

Wow. Scrap the bug chunks up - make sure not to rub them into the carpet. Get some carpet cleaner, follow directions, and Viola~! Your carpet is clean.

Seriously. If you learn how to pick sh!t like that up, you can avoid 98% of the mess.

Some people smash it into the carpet as they pick it up.

Ugh.

Of course, it also depends on how liquid it is. If it's really runny, you're going to have to mop it up, and then wash the area thoroughly with soap and water.

At least that's what I would do. Not really rocket science, and it shouldn't stain. If it smells, apply a baking soda paste, let dry and vacuum up.
 
If you had one of those car wash vacuum system, you can suck it right out. Paper towel = smash crap further into carpet.
