Cleaning monitors? Eliminating Streaks?!!!

The Wildcard

Platinum Member
I have a Sony G400 19" Monitor with the anti-reflective/glare coating so I can't use alcohol to clean. I usually use a soft cloth and water, BUT the damm streaks are annoying. I can't seem to remove them.

Anybody have any tips on how to clean your monitor and prevent streaks?

A high quality microfiber towel that you'd use to detail your car with. You can get some good ones from jtintern@hotmail.com for $2/each. Or you can spend more and get the same quality towel for $13 from CMA 😉
Or you can just go to Walmart and get some nicsand towels from their auto department... just don't use it on your cars paint. 😉

I use office depot screen cleaner, oil free, wax free and non-streaking, safe for anti-glare and polarized screens, and Kensington Surface Guardian lint free wipes (dry wipes)

Go to a store that sells eye glasses.
They should have an assortment of cleaners.
If you need something to wipe it with, try coffee filters. They're lint free. At least the better quality ones are.
