Cleaning exterior brass fixtures

I have a few items (door knobs, locks, door knocker) that I think are brass or probably brass plating. These items are really tarnished.

Can they be cleaned or is the finish just gone and I should replace them?

Never-Dull works well on "regular brass," but anodized brass or laquered brass...not so much.

I suspect your door knobs and locks are just plated, but the door knocker could be one of the above.
