Cleaning a stainless steel grill

I bought a pretty nice Charbroil Commercial grill last year with brass burners and all the good stuff. It cooks great but after a summer of grilling I have to admit it looks like hell right now. A combination of grease splatter and a bronze looking tint on the hood.

I bought this stuff at Lowes and as grandpa used to say it "sucks hind tit". The stuff was absolutely useless and was like trying to clean the grill with a bottle of water.

Whats the best cleaner for stainlesss steel that I could use on my grill?

I use this on mine and it works ok. I don't think you're going to be able to do anything about the discoloration, though.

The key is going to be to take the grill apart and clean out the grease and grime inside.

Oven cleaner. Not sure about the 'safe' kind, but I've had it melt the blackest of cooked oil off pistons I took from a smoking 305, and for 2$ you really can't go wrong.

Simple green, followed by stainless steel cleaner. The stainless cleaner is really for removing light stuff and make a nice shine, not to remove grease.

Also agree to disassemble it for best results. I do it every year on my grills.
